Join us at the Laila Textiles Studio to discover the art of natural dyeing. In this 3 hour workshop led by natural dyer Liz Mortensen, you'll learn the basics of natural dye and how to bundle dye with plants and flowers.

Workshop will cover:

• Basics of natural dyeing including fabric prep, mordants, and modifiers

• Overview of natural dye plants and how to extract plant dye

• How to naturally bundle dye fabric with plants and flowers

• Each student will create and leave with a one-of-a kind bundle dyed 100% silk pillowcase as well as a PDF with information covered at workshop

*Please note that this workshop is not our fresh flower printing pillowcase workshop, fresh flower workshops will resume in June/July 2024. This workshop will focus on dried flower material.

Pillowcases are Queen Size 20" x 30", 16 mm Charmeuse Silk
